The Action Akton Polymer Mattress Overal measures 27 inches wide, 46 inches long to cover the entire surface of an existing standard hospital mattress, or isolated area of a home mattress. Action Akton Mattress Overlays have been used by hospitals and long term care facilities as a significant component in prevention and treatment of pressure sores. The 7/8 inch gel mattress pad provides effective pressure and shear reduction, and does not require pumps, electricity or special training to use. The 7/8 inch layer of pressure relieving AKTON polymer can be used for clients with existing decubitus ulcers and increases bed surface height only 7/8 of an inch.
