Action Akton Mattress Overlay 27 x 74 x 5/8 inch provides increased comfort, pressure and shear reduction for people who are at high risk for developing pressure sores. This easy to use gel mattress pad requires no pumps, electricity or special training to use.

Made of 100% Akton viscoelastic polymer, the Action Akton Mattress Overlay is used by hospitals and long term care facilities as a significant component in prevention and treatment of decubitus ulcers. The 5/8 inch layer of AKTON polymer can be used under clients with existing decubitus ulcers and increases bed surface height only 5/8 inch, providing for independent stable transfers. The overlay is also available with a hook and loop hitch that is used to secure one end of the overlay to the head of the bed. The hitch will reduce slippage when the bed is raised.
