The Action 5/8 inch Akton Polymer Adaptive Pads can be cut and used for spot protection on arm rests, foot plates, head rests, leg rests, and splints or braces. The unique viscoelastic polymer looks and feels like a gel, but is more body friendly, for traditional and non-traditional seating challenges. These 5/8 inch thick flat pads are available in standard wheelchair seat sizes 16W x 16D inches, 18W x 16D inches, and 18W x 18D inches. Akton Polymer won't leak, flow, or bottom out. The pressure relieving material moves with the wheelchair user, not against them, to reduce pressure and shear, the two leading causes of pressure sores. Action pads are easy to clean with standard disinfectant, will not support microbiological growth, and it won't absorb body fluids or odors.
