Action Twister Back Support Cushion

The Action Twister Back Support Cushion is an adjustable back support with Akton Polymer Cube padding that provides soft cushioning and support for wheelchair users. This back cushion replaces the existing back rest upholstery on a standard cane back wheelchair or rigid back wheelchair.

The Twister Back cushion attaches to the wheelchair with multiple adjustment straps to allow the back to be contoured to the user's shape. The Akton Polymer Cube inserts immerse the user's back in soft gel cushioning to prevent pressure areas. The adjustable tension back support also provides padding to cushion the cane back posts. This adjustable tension back is often used on both cane back and rigid frame wheelchairs to prevent pressure sores for people with sensitive skin. The Action Twister Back is available in 4 different widths to fit chairs from 15 to 23 inches wide, up to 16 inches high. (Tall model for 17 to 21 inch high wheelchair backs is also available). People with normal to severe vertebral misalignment may find this back replacement cushion helpful for increasing comfort, preventing back pain and soreness.

The Akton Polymer Cube Inserts are made of viscoelastic polymer that will not leak, flow, or bottom out, and it is tissue equivalent. This soft cushioning gel moves with wheelchair users, not against them, to reduce pressure and shear, the two leading causes of pressure sores.
