Safety Sure Car Ease Slide

I find this product very useful in getting my Person With Parkinson's in and out of the car. It helps him slide in and out, and on those occasions when he can't do that, it helps me slide him. A couple of things: The slide has a way of traveling with the person when entering the car -- thus leaving the person half on and half off the seat. To compensate, I usually place the slide half on the seat and half hanging over the edge nearest the door. That helps to keep the person on the slide more completely. It would be very nice if the slide (it is a rectangle of fabric sewn into a tube, then folded down) were larger. As it is, even with an effort, it is very difficult to keep in place for maximum "sliding" when positioning a person.

I purchased this for my 93 year old mother to help her get into the car, let me tell you it does nothing at all. A plastic bag works better than this and a lot cheaper. I called to get a refund but didn't have the bag it came in so Mom wasted her money. It's a shame.. Dan M

It took a few tries to get Mom used to the sliding because she was used to struggling with fabric car seats. Once she got the hang of using the hand helds to help her turn towards the door, she really liked the Car Ease Slide.

This is the second one purchased for my paraplegic son. It makes it much easier to slide from one surface to another without pulling his trousers down.
