The Elbowlift Suspension Pad benefits clients who are bedridden or who spend time in a wheelchair. The bony prominence at the elbow can make this area susceptible to pressure sores, contusions, and friction burns. This pad offers a latex free, effective solution, cushioning and elevating the elbow to minimize surface contact. The center hole increases comfort and acts as a guide for elbow placement. The two columnar pads elevate the arm and forearm thus suspending the skin over the olecranon, olecranon bursa, and the ulnar nerve in the cubital notch. The foam-skin friction keeps the pad in place, and the tricot (nylon) backing allows it to glide over bedsheets without displacing the pad. The thick foam covered strap can be customized to provide a perfect fit. The pad protects the sensitive olecranon bursa from friction burns and contusions, guards against olecranon bursitis, ulnar neuritis, pressure pain, pressure ulcers.
