The EquaGel Straight Comfort Cushion has a revolutionary grid structure that is both soft, supportive, and continually adjusts to the user's movement. The most amazing feature of EquaGel cushions is column buckling. Column buckling refers to the way the gel grid responds to the weight of the user. Each wall of gel is capable of supporting only a light load. When that threshold is exceeded, the wall of gel buckles into the hollow area between walls and passes the weight to the surrounding walls for support. This pressure distribution happens instantly and repeatedly until the maximum surface area of the pressing weight is evenly supported and pressure is equalized.

The EquaGel Straight Comfort Cushion is 1.75 inches high. The top layer is a thin wall gel that uses a tight grid configuration for comfort. The bottom layer is thicker wall gel in a wider grid for deep posture support. The 4 way-stretch cover is fluid resistant, not waterproof, to maintain airflow. To secure the cushion to the chair, Velcro patches for both the cushion and the chair are included. The cover also features a handle, providing an easy way to transport the cushion while on the go.
