A flexible section at each end and in the center will allow the user to bend the straw to the best position for drinking. The inside diameter of each straw measures 0.35 inches. I purchased these straws for my husband who has ALS. They work wonderfully. He can't use his hands or arms anymore, so all he has to do is turn his head and get a drink. Great product.

My mother had become bedridden which made it difficult to drink. She could barely raise her head. I bought a nice thermal cup for greater support of a straw and then added these long straws. They worked perfectly. They can be adjusted well. They can be shortened if needed. They add a convenience I did not know existed until I discovered them on an internet search. I highly recommend them for anyone with family members having a hard time getting up to a table. They would work great when using them with a drink in a car cup holder or with a thermos. They are thick plastic and can be washed for reuse. They are fun just to have because you never know when you might need a really long straw. I am very happy that I found these straws in time to help my mother.

Ordered these for my husband's use due to limited use of his hands. I found them to be not as sturdy if stretched too far and flops around. It is also hard to clean. I keep them as a back-up and have replaced with another style of straw.

A: No, the Re-Usable Clear Plexiglas Straw (Product #: CSP1136) is 18 inches, which is the longest straight straw.
