The U.S. has proclaimed May to be National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, a time to recommit to increasing daily exercise and activity.
Just a little bit of extra physical activity each day can do wonders for our long-term health. Among health problems that can be avoided by doing just 30 minutes of exercise daily, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) lists cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, obesity, osteoporosis, anxiety and depression.
HHS suggests doing some activity you like or that comes naturally, such as playing outside with your kids, doing chores, walking your dog or taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator.
Here, we’ve put together a list of tools we sell to help you increase chores and other activities around the house.
The All Inclusive Lend-A-Hand features three straps that fit comfortably and snuggly around the forearm and can hold almost anything that has a handle! If you are looking to add the recommended 30 minutes of extra activity to your weekday routine, this will help and motivate you to sweep and mop more often or get outside to rake or even paint the house.
In this modern age, why are brooms still made with simple wooden sticks? Well, they don’t have to be. The ergonomic handles of the Good Grips Broom and Dustpan Set make adding those extra physical activities to your day a breeze.
Repainting the interior of your home can be a fun way to add to your activity log during this month of physical fitness. The Right Brush is a push-chisel paint brush with an L-shaped handle. This simple change in handle shape makes painting much easier for those with wrist pain or limited hand movement.
4. The GripEeze DIY Support Glove (left hand or right hand)
For those with hand weakness wishing to add to their daily activity, the GripEeze DIY Support Glove (left hand or right hand) is a new product we are excited to be selling. This brilliant glove includes a strap that you can pull over your fist to tighten your grip on an array of tools.
The key to increasing physical fitness doesn’t consist in being big and strong or accomplishing mighty feats. What matters is consistency. Meet the challenges you have set for yourself with one of our fine products.
