Questions and Answers
The
Formed Sock Aid with Cord Loop Handle
is an easy to use dressing aid with molded plastic frame and cord loop handle. One handed users who have difficulty putting on their socks will find the continuous loop handle easy to hold when lifting or lowering the durable plastic trough.
The Formed Sock Aid with Cord Loop Handle has a trough that is made of a durable plastic material that holds its shape while allowing the user to pull the sock onto the foot and position correctly. The rigid material does not compress and prevents a heavy elastic sock from collapsing the trough. A rubber self-adhesive pad is included and may be added to provide a non-slip resistance to the sock. The pad helps prevent the sock from slipping off the form too early. The Cord Loop Handle is a braided nylon cord that is a continuous loop. The handle allows people using one hand to easily lower and lift the sock aid. The Formed Sock Aid with Cord Loop Handles helps users successfully put on socks without assistance.

Works great
It works great but it not big enough for a large man's foot.. it squeezes the foot but it does the job. It your client is one handed, it hard for them to pull on but for a caregiver it make tedhoses easier..

Used one for many years. Just got a new one. Best thing ever invented since sliced bread. High quality. Lasts for ever. Great price. QUALITY is unequalled.

Mr.
The sock aid is too stiff. It needs to be more flexible because I have to force my door into it causing pain and I have to really stretch my socks to fit over the sock aid. Whatever you do, don't put the black rubber pad on the sock aid,you won't be able to pull your sock on. Cut the loop handle in half!

Ms.
I love this product! It works perfectly for me. This is the second one I have purchased over many years. The first one still works just fine for me, also. I just use them in different locations in my home.

Q:
How does it work, how do you get in on foot? I am in my eighties so I am not looking for complicated item.
Asked by:
Annette
- 4/29/2017
A:
You place the sock or stocking on the end of the aid (scrunched), slip the foot in and pull up on the cord pulling the sock up leg. The Formed Sock aid also comes with foam handles (Product #: AMCSA2001) that are easier to hold on to.
