The HealthCraft PT Rail Grab Bar is a high-quality, commercial-grade, fold-down rail designed for use beside a toilet. This adapted grab bar features an offset handle to help reduce strain when gripping the lower rail.

The HealthCraft PT Rail Grab Bar is designed to provide sitting and standing toilet support for users with reduced mobility. The wide mounting bracket provides extra stability and provides a secure support rail. The innovative offset rail can be folded up out of the way when not in use. A friction hinge ensures that the handle will not inadvertently drop down when it is in the up position. The rail holds its position, even when halfway up, which means it won’t fall down unexpectedly. Unlike other bathroom safety rails, the rail is designed with an innovative offset rail to avoid wrist strain when users are sitting down or pulling up from a seated position. This toilet safety rail is 1.5 inches in diameter and is ADA-compliant. The rail also exceeds ADA 4.26.3 structural strength requirements for grab bars and fasteners of 250 pounds, and the maximum user weight for this product is 400 pounds.

Please note, the PT Rail is intended to bear weight ONLY when the handle is in the down position; the handle is not intended to bear weight in any other position. This safety rail can be installed with appropriate fasteners to a structural wall. In cases where wall fastening is not an option, a Floor Mast is also available. The Floor Mast is installed with appropriate fasteners to a structural floor. The PT Rail is height adjustable on the Floor Mast. This ergonomic safety rail is available in 28, 32, and 36-inch lengths, with durable powder coat white (over carbon steel) or rust-resistant stainless steel.
