The Heelift Smooth Suspension Boot is a smooth foam heel offloading boot designed to remove pressure from the heel. The elevation pad disperses pressure evenly across the entire calf.
The Heelift Smooth Suspension Boot helps prevent heel ulcers by eliminating heel pressure. The elevation pad lifts the heel and suspends it in a protective space, transferring the pressure heel to the lower leg. In pressure ulcer prevention regimens, suspending the heel is appropriate for at-risk patients who are immobile, post-operative, or suffer from diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or dietary deficiencies. This suspension boot is an ideal addition to existing treatment regimens and also can be used in cases of foot drop, flaccid paralysis (non-spastic), pre and post-operative hip fractures, and skin grafts. On the outside is a smooth tricot fabric covering for increased patient mobility. On the sides of the boot, air holes provide optimal ventilation. Two adjustable hook-and-loop straps secure the boot in place. Bariatric and Petite sizes are also available. The Latex-free, medical-grade smooth foam is ideal for patients with edematous legs, as it will not create "impressions" on the leg. The Heelift Smooth Suspension Boot is made from soft, firm, medical-grade foam and effectively removes pressure from the heel, helping to prevent heel ulcers, pressure ulcers and diabetic foot ulcers from forming.
The Heelift Smooth Suspension Boot is machine washable if placed in a net laundry bag with the Velcro® straps closed and the extra elevation pads removed.
