The Kind Reminder™ is a simple recorder that plays a personal message to comfort someone with early stage Alzheimer's, dementia or memory loss. This compact, lightweight, easy to operate simple device plays a recorded message when the large center button is pressed.

The Kind Reminder™ was created by the daughter of a person with Alzheimer's disease. She wanted a way to record comforting information for her loved to listen to whenever she felt anxious. Most recorders were too complicated for her loved one to operate. She designed and produced the Kind Reminder. Her loved one, during the early stages of Alzheimer's, played the recorded messages multiple times an hour when she lost her orientation and was uncertain about what was happening.

A typical message might be "Hi, Mom. Today is Tuesday, you have had a good breakfast and taken all of your medication. Mary is here with you, and I will be back this afternoon." A simple message recorded in the familiar voice of a caregiver can calm and reassure someone who is often anxious and confused. The message is played by press the one big visible button on the recorder. It may be worn as a pendant or placed on a nearby table or counter. The message can be changed easily and often. The record button and microphone are recessed in the back panel.
