The Deluxe Tilt Top Over Bed Table tilts 33 degrees in either direction. The table top has raised edges that help to keep objects from sliding off. The walnut, wood grain laminate surface wipes clean with a sponge or damp cloth. The four swivel casters allow for easily moving the table under a hospital bed, wheelchair, or chair.

This adjustable height tilt top table is easy and practical for use while eating, reading, writing or having a place to put needed items while in a bed. The top can be raised with the slightest upward pressure from 29.5 to 46 inches. The table top is locked securely in place when the height adjustment handle is released.

A: Yes, the table can be used on either side of the bed. The top will tilt either direction.

A: Yes, the top can be raised or lowered in infinite settings between 29.5 - 46 inches.

Q: How does the table tilt? Is there an adjustment that locks it in place? Or do you just manually push it up or down to the desired degree? I'm concerned because I'm getting a bedside table for a severely handicapped friend, so everything needs to be secure. Not that she's going to push herself up on it or anything, but do you think I should just get the basic table which does not tilt?

A: If you look at the last picture it shows how the tilt is secured. It uses a screw type friction mechanism to lock it in place; when you tighten the screw it puts friction on the outside sleeve that its in, almost like a shower curtain rod. So as long as you can tighten the screw enough the tilt should lock in place. The table has a 50 pound weight capacity, so long as you do not think she can hit it hard enough to exceed that she should be fine.

Q: Will the over bed table also work with a power wheelchair?

A: Yes, as long as there is clearance under the power chair for the base of the table to slide under. The table adjusts in height from 29.5 - 46 inches.
