The Press Down U-Step2 Walking Stabilizer has a unique braking system that is helpful for users without the hand strength to squeeze a standard hand brake. This multiple wheeled mobile walking frame with a U shaped base provides stability for users with neurological conditions including Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke, ALS, MSA and PSP. The Press Down model of the U-Step2 Walking Stabilizer is designed for users who cannot squeeze a regular hand brake. The brakes can be released by lightly pressing down the soft rubberized brake handle, and the brakes can be engaged by releasing the handle. To begin walking, the user can either press down on the left or right release lever or flip the brake bar over and press down. To engage the brakes, the user simply flips the bar forward. Choose Left or Right handle brake. One hand brake operates both sides of the walker. The U-Step2 Walking Stabilizer has a unique frame with an extra wide wheel base that helps prevent falls and increases walking independence. The U-Step2 surrounds the user and moves with them. The unique wheelbase and frame is extremely stable and provides support in every direction. The U-Step2 will not roll until the user is ready to walk. The innovative braking system is easy to use and allows complete control. The user lightly squeezes either brake release lever to move the walker. Once the lever is released, the unit stops immediately. This feature is particularly helpful when standing up from a chair because the unit will not roll away. Unlike other rolling walkers, users can adjust the rolling speed of the walker. The patented spring loaded front caster system easily glides over uneven surfaces.
