Q:I see you have small, medium and large. I doubt I need large, but don't know whether to order small or medium. I have long fingers but with some arthritic changes that make my knuckles larger than they should be. Should I get medium or small? I need to see if this pen holder can help me with a tremor in my hands.
Asked by: Karen
- 11/8/2016
A: The small size is recommended mostly for children. I would recommend the medium, unless you have significant swelling, then I'd go with the large.

Q:My hand has spasms and it will cramp up and grips pen so tight I can't write. Can this tool help that so if it would cramp up and squeeze the pen that I could still write?
Asked by: Judy
- 8/14/2015
A: The Ultra will make holding the pen easier and requires less effort to do so, but it will not help alleviate the pain associated with cramps. I would suggest looking at the Pencil Grip, CTP353, or other grips that actually cushion the fingers against the writing instrument.

Q:I have a cast on my right hand because of a fractured scaphoid and radius bones. The cast is also on my right thumb making it very difficult to hold a pen. Would this be useful for me?
Asked by: Kathy
- 3/18/2018
A: It should because you don't grasp the pen like you do a normal pen. The pressure applied by the index finger should be enough to write with the cast on.

Q:Is this pen good for someone with ALS who does not have good thumb opposition for gripping small items such as pens.
Asked by: Colette Boyd
- 11/17/2020
A: Hard to say. Please consult your health care provider for more information. The holder creates a larger gripping surface, but the thumb still needs to be able to oppose the index finger for guiding the pen.

Q:I have incredibly small hands for a full grown adult. My palm is 4” wide, my hand from wrist to middle top is 7”, my finger span is 8.5” and if I splay my thumb and forefinger to their limit the measurement is barely 7” as well. I found that pens with similar grips have helped my carpal tunnel and strength issues immensely. Would I be best served by your small or medium size?
Asked by: Linden
- 3/6/2023
A: The small size should work better for you.
