Sock and Stocking Aids

The basic principle of a sock aid is a holder that the sock slides on and is held open. The holder is a half tube shaped plastic device, sometimes covered in a soft cloth. The holder has handles attached that are used to drop the sock holder to the floor. The user simply slides their foot through the opening while pulling up on the handles until the sock is in place. This eliminates bending over and putting stress on the user's back or hips. Flexible sock aids, rigid sock aids, sock aids with one or two handles or no handles in different colors and styles are available.
