The Solo-Grip Non-Slip Jar Opener wedge shape design holds a wide variety of container shapes and sizes. The base holds small medicine bottles and two-liter bottles securely, like a vise. People with weak hands, the elderly, and persons with disabilities who struggle to hold the base of jars will find this jar and bottle holder very helpful.

The Solo-Grip Non-Slip Jar Opener is crafted of sturdy polycarbonate and has no moving parts. The inner wall has a non-slip rubber material that securely holds the bottom of the jar or bottle. To use, simply place the jar deep inside the wedge. The jar is held in place so you can use both hands or a single hand to twist the lid open. Solo-Grip is also useful for stabilizing the base of the jar when using other lid removal devices.

The grip works well.

My father had a stroke and currently has use of only his right hand/arm. He has found this device very useful. He keeps it on the kitchen counter and uses it regularly.

Wrist injury

I purchased this to help me open jars in the kitchen. I'd say about 90% of the time it works. The other 1 out of 10 times the jar is shaped in a way that makes using this difficult. Pill bottles are too small to be used with this device. That's why I took off one star.

No Help Here

Purchased this for stroke survivor. Hard to use with two hands. Almost no use with just one hand. Opener slides on many surfaces and rubber wall (needs 2 walls) of opener does not hold container to be opened very good. Very difficult for people who have the use of just one hand. Poor selection on my part.
