The Wanchik Writer is a specially designed writing device that slides comfortably on, wrapping around your hand between the thumb and the index finger. Insert a standard size pen or pencil in the holder. The writing tool supports your writing utensil for a more relaxed hand when writing.

The Wanchik Writer writing utensil holder holds the pen for you! People with decreased dexterity will be able to hold their writing finger in the proper position.

To determine size, measure the length from the index finger MCP (meta-carpal-phlangeal) joint to the DIP (distal-inter-phalangeal) joint (knuckle to last index finger joint). Small fits 2.5 to 3.5 inches. Large fits 3.5 to 4.5 inches.

Wanchik Writer Specifications:

Material: Plastic-covered aluminum.
Small size fits: 2.5 to 3.5 inches.
Large size fits: 3.5 to 4.5 inches.
Measure: Length from Index MP to DIP crease.

Q: Can you please tell me how I can get one of these writers!! I have 2 and need one for my purse to have with me. It is by far the best I have seen! I use a small adult! Thank you for a response!!!

A: This item was discontinued by the manufacturer several years ago. We no longer have any in stock. :(

Q: Good morning! I hope this message finds you well. I am an occupational therapist in Florida and have a patient who is a spinal cord injury survivor. He is able to drive and hold a job with the use of the wanchik writer. He has tried all other assistive devices with no success. I see according to the website that the device is discontinued however I was wondering if there were anymore left in stock (he is right handed). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Q: Hello! My colleague has been using a Large Right Wanchik's Writer for years, and he is unable to find a new one. He has limited control of his fingers, and this has been the best adapted tool for him! Can you help to locate another?
